The bestowing of the Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) by Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin to the Vice-Chancellor, Dato’ Seri Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abu Shah is a fitting tribute to an eminent figure in the sector of higher education. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abu Shah is synonymous with UiTM and during the time of his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor, has guided unprecedented growth, transformation and regeneration of the university. He has dedicated his life to service to the nation and society and he continues to work - through his leadership of the university - to implement forward looking policy, advance human resource development, student learning and educational leadership as well as foster a culture of research, excellence and enterprise. Another of his priorities has been to build closer links between the university and industry.
The staff and students of UiTM are privileged to work with Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abu Shah and extend our heartiest congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. His innovation, leadership, devotion and friendship continue to serve as an inspiration to us all.
